How many times have you heard or read about your council being short of money and having to have more cut back or have to raise your council tax.
Have you considered how much your council is spending on the Tour De France, I bet you would be shocked. First off, all the roads that they haven't
been able to afford to reinstate for years, just like magic the money has appeared. There are road signs being erected, sometimes with the wrong
information. There will be all your councillors expenses as they will all want to go but of course they won't go for free.There will be all the extra police
needed and it will all be on overtime rate. The list goes on and on.
About 2 months after the tour has finished, contact your council and ask them to let you know "under the freedom of information act" exactly how much
it has cost and tell them to include the repairs of the road, for the reason that they could not afford to repair them before.
