I think it is time we stood up for our rrights and said enough is enough. When I was a lad in the 1950's and lived on a farm, we didn't know any difference and killed animals in the most barbaric way by cutting their throats and letting them bleed to death. Since then we have mostly become more civilised and killing animals in such a way is not allowed by civilised people and it is against the law for an English butcher to kill an animal in such an inhumane way. Unfortunately the government does not have the guts to stand up and say this method of slaughter will not be allowed by anyone in this country. What they have said is if you are British it causes pain and anguish to the animal but if you are muslim or jewish it does not cause pain or anguish and so they can continue with their torture and sacrifice. Put this in a human aspect and it is like saying if an Englishman hits you over the head with a cricket bat, it will hurt and probably do damage, but if a muslim or a jew hits you over the head with the same cricket bat there will be no pain and no damage. Come on the government do the British thing and kick this terrible thing into touch. If you are in agreement with me let's get a petition going that the government cannot ignore.
